How it works
Upload your document
A PDF, a Word file or a scanned image (PNG, JPEG or TIFF). Put several documents in one envelope when they belong together.
Place the fields
Drag signature, initials, date, text and checkbox fields onto the page and assign each one to a signer.
Send it
Each signer gets a private link by email and signs in the browser on any device. When everyone has signed, you get the final PDF and a certificate of completion.

Your documents, audit trails and signature images are stored and processed in Montreal, on AWS ca-central-1 and Vercel's Montreal region. Three things pass through providers outside Canada, and we'd rather tell you than hide it:
- Email delivery. The completion email attaches the signed PDF.
- SMS one-time codes: a phone number and a six-digit code, never document content.
- Card payments, through Stripe.

Evidence you can check yourself.
Every view, signature, decline and void is written to an append-only audit trail with the time, IP address and device. When an envelope completes, the SHA-256 fingerprint of the final PDF goes on the certificate of completion, so anyone can confirm the file hasn't changed since it was signed.
For sensitive documents, you can require a one-time code by SMS for any signer.
The certificate is designed to support the requirements for electronic records under Canadian evidence law; whether a document is admitted is always up to the court.

A REST API with workspace tokens and a public OpenAPI 3.1 spec. Signed webhooks (HMAC-SHA256) for every envelope event, with a delivery log and one-click resend. Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications, and Zapier, Make or n8n through webhooks.
There's also an MCP server, so Claude, Claude Code and Cursor can send envelopes from your templates, check their status and download the signed copies.
The API and MCP server are included on Pro (100 API envelopes a month) and Team (500). The signer can also be embedded in your own site; we switch it on for your domain.

Built by a Toronto business that runs on agreements.
VG·Sign started in 2025 as the signing tool for our own real estate business, VG Realestate, and we still use it every day. It's operated by VG-Real Estate Services Inc. in Toronto.
What we haven't built yet.
VG·Sign isn't SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified. Our infrastructure providers, Supabase and Vercel, hold SOC 2 Type II. Our security page lists the controls we run, and we answer security questionnaires for Enterprise reviews. There are no native Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Drive or Dropbox integrations; you can connect them through Zapier or Make with our webhooks. Automatic user provisioning (SCIM) isn't available yet either. If you need something we don't have, tell us. That's how we decide what to build next.
Questions
Are VG·Sign signatures legally binding in Canada?
Electronic signatures are generally recognized across Canada: under PIPEDA for federal requirements, Ontario's Electronic Commerce Act, 2000, similar statutes based on the Uniform Electronic Commerce Act in the other common-law provinces and territories, and Quebec's Act to establish a legal framework for information technology. Some documents are excluded or need extra formalities, for example certain wills, certain powers of attorney, and documents that must be witnessed or notarized in person. If you're not sure about a specific document, check with a lawyer.
Is Pro really unlimited?
Yes, for envelopes sent from the dashboard: no monthly cap and no overages. API envelopes have a monthly limit, listed in the developer section of this page.
Do my signers need an account?
No. Signers open the link, confirm who they are and sign on any device. Signing is always free for them.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
Your workspace stays on Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted: you can still sign in and download every signed document and its certificate, and send up to 5 new envelopes a month. API access stops until you upgrade again.
