Why we built it
The existing tools — DocuSign, Hellosign, Adobe Sign — are powerful, but they were built for global enterprise. They charge per seat, gate basic features behind sales calls, and treat Canadian compliance as an afterthought.
We were running a real estate brokerage in Ontario. We needed signatures on OREA forms, court-admissible audit trails, PIPEDA-compliant retention, and a calm UI that signers didn’t need an explainer for. Nothing on the market did all four well, so we built it ourselves and turned it into a product.
What we believe
Opinionated beats configurable.Every option you remove is a decision you make for the user. We’d rather ship a system that does the right thing by default than one with 200 toggles.
Canadian data stays in Canada.All envelopes, audit logs, and signed PDFs live in ca-central-1 (Montreal). PIPEDA isn’t a checkbox — it’s how the system is wired.
Audit trails are not a feature, they’re the point. Every action is logged, hashed, and chained. The certificate of completion is court-admissible from day one.
Where we are
Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Built with a small team that ships every week. We’re a VG Realestate product, but VG·Sign stands on its own — used internally for our brokerage and externally by businesses that run on agreements.
